My name is Brittany Truffelli and this is the story about how I decided to change my life. 

One of my favorite quotes has always been “Blessed are the curious for they shall have adventures”, it was something that I felt deep down in my soul every time I heard it. Curious. This personality trait drove my desire for continuous knowledge, my imagination and my need to explore.

I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago in a family of six and while I grew up in relatively sheltered town, I knew there was so much more out there in the world. Being the daughter of an Army officer, I was born in Germany while my dad was stationed there with my mom and sister. Seeing the pictures and home movies of a very young, very blonde me at places like the Parthenon in Athens, at castles in Germany and in a field of tulips in the Netherlands just fanned the flame of wanting to travel as an adult. My mother became a travel agent continuously going on exotic adventures and my dad continued to travel regularly as well. They say wanderlust is in your DNA and I’ll tell ya it is the truth!

Outside of the desire to travel, I lived my life doing just about anything that made me feel free. My life was a blur of dance, cheerleading, soccer, choir, band and being a wild child with my best girlfriends. I met my husband Ryan in middle school and we stayed friends until we fell in love our senior year of high school.
